SUNDARI Dance Group

The group was founded in Debrecen, Hungary. The graceful movements of indian dances, the brightening costumes and the heavenly music inspired the name, which means beautiful women in sanskrit. The members are Adrien Meszaros and her advanced students. The groups repertoire consists of the classical odissi dance pieces, sambalpuri folk and Bollywood dance.

Through their odissi performance you can see flower offering invocation, pure technical dances, and storys about the hindu mithology. Every performance is built like a mandala, and closed by a sacrifying dance. Each coreorgaphys are from one of the biggest Gurus of odissi dance, Kelucharan Mohapatra. The music is odissi music, which is similar to hindusthani classical music.
